Alberto Melendez Obituary

Alberto Melendez aka Albert, was born August 11, 1966 to Mother Nery Melendez and Father Juan Bautista Melendez. Albert had four brothers five sisters. He was the youngest boy and admittedly, also his mothers favorite. He is survived by Dolly his wife and his children. He did his best to provide for his children when he was allowed to. Albert was a tremendous uncle as well. Albert was extremely appreciated by all he came into contact with.

Albert was a very peaceful man. He always greeted people with a handshake and smile and the energy he would give off was truly amazing. Albert left an impression on everyone he met. Whether it be a guy selling hotdogs on the corner, or the mailman, he treated everyone with nothing but respect. To say he was a giving person is an understatement... Albert was so giving with his time and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He truly gave too much of himself constantly. I lost count of the times he literally would give someone the shirt off his back.

Albert loved his family. He would only see the good in people. He greeted everyone with open arms, a warm embrace and a smile. Albert always did right by people because he always treated people the way he wanted to be treated. Albert was so happy if he saw someone doing good. He would be so happy if someone hit a number or got something. He was not materialistic, envious or a jealous person. Albert wished everyone nothing but the best.

The name Albert means Noble and Bright and he was both. From his actions to just walking into a room and lighting it up with laughter. Albert was different than most people. He saw things through a positive lens. Albert had a great sense of humor!  He was so funny and definitely viewed the world as a good place. He loved monster movies. His favorites were Godzilla and King Kong. He was more into the old stuff he grew up with than the new CGI stuff. As far as TV shows he loved watching Frasier and anything on the history channel. Also can’t forget how much Albert loved freestyle music. His absolute favorite was Vicky D.
If he was hanging out or cooking or cleaning there was always something good playing on the radio behind him.

We talked constantly about his kids and the love he had for them. He would watch them from a far. He loved his brothers and sisters with all his heart. Albert also loved his wife. They would always cook together, clean together, they were best friends.

I can go on and on about all the good deeds he has done, all the lives he has touched but there’s just not enough room on this paper.

I know he’s in heaven looking down at us and he doesn’t want anyone to be upset or sad. He lived his life his way, on his terms and his rules and everyone around him was better because of it. Albert was taken from us far too young and the pain and grief everyone is feeling would bother him. He wouldn’t want to do that to anybody. Albert always just wanted peace and happiness for everyone. I know if you have the opportunity to talk to Albert today he would say “it’s OK I’m not suffering anymore I love you’s all and I will be checking in on everyone from time to time...please go live your life it’s OK we will meet again Love you’s all....”
