Andrew Peri

Andrew Peri, known lovingly to all as Andy, was born on June 10, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY and departed this life on June 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, devotion, and steadfast love that shall be remembered with deep affection by all who knew him.

He was a funny man, a generous man, and a passionate man, and these gifts of character were not worn as ornaments, but lived in the ordinary and extraordinary moments of his life. He carried himself with the quiet dignity of a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and never forgot the value of family, friendship, and duty.

Andy was the beloved husband of Josephine Rollo Peri. He was the cherished father of Melissa Peri Clark, and the proud father-in-law of Tom Clark. His heart was greatly enlarged by his grandsons, Aiden Thomas Clark and Dylan Andrew Clark, in whom he found delight, pride, and endless wonder. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Peri Vario, his brother-in-law, Antonino Vario, and by his nieces, great nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins, all of whom were touched by his affection and his steady presence.

A son of Bushwick High School and the American Institute of Finance, Andy pursued his education with purpose and applied himself with diligence in the world of work. He served as a Bank Officer. Yet his service to his country stood among the most honorable chapters of his life, for he was a proud Army Veteran having served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. In that season of national trial, he answered the call with courage, bearing himself with the resolve and humility that mark true service. His life in uniform was a testament to his character, and his country was made better by men such as he.

Andy never ceased to delight in the pleasures that gave his heart cheer. He loved spending time with family and friends, and these gatherings were to him as a feast of the soul. He was an avid fan of the Rangers, Jets, and Yankees, and in the cheering of games he found fellowship, excitement, and the loyal hope that belongs to every true devotee. He always loved to ask his nieces and nephews “Who’s your favorite Uncle”? And without hesitation the answer was always “Uncle Andy”! Yet above all earthly pleasures, he was most enchanted by trips to Disney World with his family, especially with his boys, Aiden and Dylan. Those journeys were not merely vacations, but cherished adventures, bright with wonder and made sweeter by shared smiles, laughter, and memory.

In Andy’s company, one found a man of quick wit and warm heart, one who could make others laugh and feel at ease, as though the world itself had paused to take a kinder breath. His generosity was not measured only in what he gave, but in how he made others feel seen and valued. His passion was evident in his loyalties, in his love for family, and in the way he embraced life with enthusiasm and sincerity. He leaves behind not only sorrow at his passing, but gratitude for the gift of having known him.

The memory of Andy, whose life, though now complete, remains a joy to all who hold him in their hearts. His story is one of service, devotion, humor, and love, and though death has closed the final chapter, the light of his example endures. He shall be remembered with reverence and affection, as a husband, father, grandfather, brother,uncle, veteran, friend, and man of uncommon heart.

May those who mourn him take comfort in the richness of his life and in the many ways he blessed this world. Though he has passed from sight, Andy’s spirit abides in the laughter of family gatherings, in the memory of shared adventures, in the echo of cheering for beloved teams, and in the enduring love of all who were fortunate enough to call him theirs.
