Calogero Troia

Calogero Troia passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 6th, 2023 after a long, happy 91 years. Calogero was born on March 21, 1932 in Toreretta, Sicily to Giuseppa Caruso and Salvatore Troia. He was predeceased by his wife, Pietra Troia who sadly passed in 2010. He is survived by his five sons: Salvatore (Giuseppina), Tommaso(Mary), Giuseppe; Chiara, Rosario (Audrey), and Lorenzo; Nicole. As well as 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who he was known as “nonno” to. Calogero immigrated to America in 1968 and his family followed in 1973. He worked in construction his whole life. Calogero loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family. He enjoyed his Italian food and cards. Family and friends may call at Seneca Chapel this Thursday from 4-8. A funeral mass will follow Friday morning at St. Margaret’s church at 9:45.
