In Loving Memory of Celaida “Chela” Alvia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Celaida “Chela” Alvia, who left us on March 20, 2025. Born on December 5, 1980, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Chela’s life was a testament to love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She is survived by her beloved mother, Lucy Alvia, and father, Antonio Alvia; her siblings, Anthony, Cyndi, and Anali; and her greatest joys in life—her children, Madison and Noah.

Chela had a vibrant spirit, a heart full of kindness, and a laugh that could light up any room. She touched the lives of so many with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Seneca Chapel. Service dates will soon be presented.

Chela’s love and light will remain with us always. We love you, Chela. May you rest in peace.
