Domingo Colon, a beloved father, brother, and friend, died on April 2nd, 2026, at the age of 69
at Brooklyn Hospital Center. He lived a well-lived life and was loved by many.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 17, 1956, he was the son of Domingo Colon and
Luz Colon. He served in the Army from 1976 to 1982 and was a retired MTA Bus Operator
where he worked for over 20 years on the job.
Domingo, a proud Puerto Rican, born in Harlem and raised in Brooklyn, had a love for sports as
he grew up playing basketball and was nicknamed “Magic Mingo” in his younger years. He
enjoyed watching his favorite New York sport teams: Yankees, Knicks, and the Giants as he
was a lifelong fan. Domingo was a member of Polonias Social Club, where he enjoyed spending
quality time with his friends. He will be remembered for his humor that made many laugh, for his
caring heart, and his selfless love.
He is survived by his loving daughters Christina Colon and Danielle Colon, his brother Mike
Colon, and his sister Luz Williams.
His presence will be missed and cherished in our hearts forever. A soul that was taken too soon
but now he can rest and be at peace with God.
