It is with great sadness that the family of Eusebio Quiñones, Jr. announce his passing on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He preferred to be called Jay.
Jay will be remembered by his mother, sisters Ingrid and Maritza, daughters Jessica and Sabrina, his grandkids Madison and Phillip, his five nieces and three great nephews and four great nieces.
One of my brother’s greatest joys in life was fishing. He cherished the quiet moments by the water and the camaraderie he shared with his fishing buddies every weekend. His favorite places to cast a line were the Greenpoint Pier and the North 5th Street Pier Park in Brooklyn, where the city met the calm of the river, and friendships were strengthened with every tide.
But more than anything, he loved his family. He was always there—steady, generous, and ready to help in any way he could. His heart was big, his spirit gentle, and his presence a comfort to everyone who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, remembered not only for the fish he caught but for the love he gave so freely.
