Obituary for Jose Francisco Lopez:
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Francisco Lopez, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jose peacefully departed this world on February 16th at the age of 77. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Josefa Lopez, their five devoted children, and fourteen lovely grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jose's life was defined by his unwavering love for his family. He found immense joy in spending time with his family and friends, filling their days with laughter, song, and warmth. A true lover of “Motown” and “Oldies” classics, Jose's pitchy voice often graced family gatherings. His take on songs like “Rag Doll” by The Four Seasons created cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Beyond music, Jose was quick-witted and loved telling corny jokes that brought light and happiness into any room he was in.
A lifelong fan of the New York Mets, Jose witnessed the team's historic championships in 1969 and 1986, moments that filled him with pride and elation. His passion for the Mets, even when they lost more games than they won, was a testament to his unwavering loyalty.
His love, guidance, and steadfast support will forever remain with his family. He leaves with each of us a legacy of unforgettable moments that will be remembered always.
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating the remarkable life of our dad and role model, Jose Francisco Lopez.
