Yamil Elias

Yamil was DR made and Brooklyn bred. He lived joyously and spread good vibes generously wherever he went. His energy was infectious and he channeled that in so many ways: His love for his children, Jaelin Victoria and Lucas Michael; his loyalty to family and friends; and through music as DJ Elias. DJing was his chosen form of expression, his artform, but, most importantly, it was community. Yamil transformed spaces. He loved the experience of taking the crowd through that magical journey where eventually everyone moves as one. 

Yamil was the son of Victoria and Nelson, the baby big brother of Jade, and uncle to Laylah Victoria. He was dearly loved by his mami and missed her deeply. Now, they are joined in peace in heaven. He will be missed by his siblings Nelson, Sonia, Lorna, George, Josue, Freddy and Louree, and his fur baby Savannah. 

Yamil lived for epic vacations, surrounded by friends, sun and good food. You knew it was going to be crazy when he said, “this is gonna be a movie.” And it always was!

Yamil was a brilliant mind and a beautiful, generous soul. He always went the extra mile for his people and made sure they knew they were loved and supported. He will live forever in our hearts. We are so grateful and blessed to be connected through him. Thank you for bringing us together, Yamil. We will always remember your laugh and wisdom. Keep shining brightly on our path. #FLYHIGHELIAS. The highest. Forever.
