FUNERAL SERVICE

A funeral service is a special time for family and friends to comfort one another, begin to find healing and celebrate a life well lived. Whether you choose burial or cremation, you can hold a funeral service to honor your loved one. We are happy to provide a traditional funeral or something completely unique. Many cultures and religions have special funeral traditions and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. This is a moment for you and your family and we are honored to help you in any way that we can.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

Just like a funeral service, a memorial service is a time to remember your loved one. This can be held shortly after death or weeks later, with or without an urn present. What’s important is that it creates a time and a place for family and friends to gather together and support one another, share memories and pay their respects. We can hold a memorial service at our funeral home, the final resting place or at your home.

BURIAL/MAUSOLEUM

There are many variations and options involved in Burial/Mausoleum Services, ranging from a Traditional Funeral Service to an Immediate (or Direct) Burial. Each service is tailored to fit the unique wishes of each family we serve.

A Traditional Funeral Service consists of a visitation, a funeral ceremony, and a burial in a cemetery or entombment in a mausoleum.

A Traditional Funeral Service is generally held over a two day period and includes a visitation or "wake" with the deceased's body present in a casket for viewing. The visitation generally takes place at the funeral home but may be held at any location the family wishes, such as your church. The visitation provides not only time for family and friends to come together for support and to share memories, but also allows the important opportunity for the visual acknowledgment that a friend and loved one has died. The funeral ceremony is generally held the next day at the funeral home or a church, followed by burial or entombment at a cemetery.

Services may also be combined into a one day event, with the visitation, funeral ceremony and cemetery services occurring on the same day.

An Immediate (or Direct) Burial generally involves a graveside ceremony at the cemetery only, foregoing formal services at the funeral home or church.

Our funeral home offers many options regarding funeral merchandise such as Caskets and Outer Burial Containers/Burial Vaults. We will be pleased to discuss all options with you and assist you in designing a fitting service.

CREMATION

There are many variations and options involved with Cremation Services, ranging from Cremation following a Complete Funeral Service to Immediate (or Direct) Cremation. Each service is tailored to fit the unique wishes of each family we serve.

Much like a Traditional Funeral Service, a Cremation following a Complete Funeral Service consists of a visitation and a funeral ceremony either at the funeral home or a church with the deceased's body present in a casket for viewing. This provides not only time for family and friends to come together for support and to share memories, but also allows the important opportunity for the visual acknowledgment that a friend and loved one has died. The cremation would take place following the services.

An Immediate (or Direct) Cremation foregoes any type of formal visitation or ceremony. The deceased is cremated and the remains are returned to the family. A Memorial service may be held following the cremation.

Our funeral home offers many options regarding cremation merchandise such as Urns and Cremation Caskets. We will be pleased to discuss all options with you and assist you in designing a fitting service.
